Anxiety management

Through our work together, we’ll take note of the ways your anxiety is interfering with your life and find tools to better manage it.  Through an eclectic therapeutic lens, we’ll also look at how your conscious and unconscious experiences have fostered anxiety in your life. Although anxiety may never fully go away, we’ll work together to make sure it’s not controlling you.  The goal of our work together will be to increase awareness and focus on your values, while harnessing and channeling the anxiety you experience.

HIV

If you’re living with HIV (recently diagnosed or long term survivor), or know somebody who is impacted by HIV, therapy can help you.  Having worked with the HIV positive community for over 7 years, I’m highly familiar with the barriers and shame that you may face. Through a collaborative relationship, we will explore the role that HIV and stigma might play in your identity development and sense of self.  The goal of this work is to view HIV as a manageable piece of a healthy, fulfilling life.

LGBTQIA

As an LGBTQ-affirmative therapist, I have the honor of sitting with people as they navigate the layers of gender, sexuality, culture, and race that shape their everyday experiences. Over the last 15 years I’ve worked in this community both as a therapist and as an advocate. If you identify outside of heteronormativity, it is invaluable to work with a therapist who grasps and affirms the breadth of gender and sexual identities.  While it is important to acknowledge the impact that heteronormativity plays in your life, my aim is to help you embrace who you are.
